This WordPress website design was created for Paintbox School of Art, an independent art school based in East Lothian.
This website rebuild for Paintbox School of Art was one of my biggest projects yet and was a complete joy to work on. They are a well known and established business, having been going for over a decade now.
Originally, they built their website on Weebly. They are very hands on and did a lot of digital work during Covid, all the while allowing their business to flourish. This led to them creating over 12 different (very thorough!) online courses. When we rebuilt their website on WordPress, we had to transfer and rebuild all of their online courses. We also decided to give them the functionality to sell spaces for all of their in-person courses through their website, which helped to cut down on their admin time and to better organise their workflow.
All of this led them to a website that helped them further position themselves as an authority in their field, with better search results and traffic, and more ease of use for their customers. This enabled them to free up much of the time doing the organisational workflow they were stuck doing when their last website wasn’t doing much of the heavy lifting for them.
Working with Jemma and Lynsey was truly wonderful, and this was one of my favourite projects to date!
On finishing our work together, they said:
“We worked with Marissa to completely rebuild our website. It was a big site, for a well established business, so there was a lot to sort. I cannot recommend Marissa highly enough! Not only did she remove all the stress, she absolutely ‘got’ our business and came up with a design that perfectly reflected what we do! She had such brilliant and easy ways of sharing thoughts and visuals with us online, and was a dream to work with!! Her creativity, ideas and know how were absolutely invaluable! Since building the site she has helped us to learn how to continue to manage too. She’s the absolute best!! Can’t recommend her highly enough!”
